The Greater Dayton Apartment Association will hold its annual elections for the Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting.

As outlined in the GDAA Bylaws Voting is as follows:

  • Absentee or proxy ballots are not permitted.  (This policy is in effect unless the public health situation dictates otherwise. We will keep you updated on any changes that may occur.) 
  • Only members in good standing as appear upon the records of the Association shall be entitled to vote.  Members in good standing shall be defined as those members who hold no delinquent payables to the Association sixty-one (61) days or order.
  • Each member shall be entitled to one vote per $250.00, or portion thereof, of annual membership dues paid, which shall be cast by the duly designated representative.

There are three (3) candidates running for two (2) Supplier Partner board seats.

SUPPLIER PARTNER CANDIDATES-

Bryan Woods has worked in the multifamily industry for over 11 years, with consistent involvement in the GDAA. Bryan was a past Board Member of the GDAA from 2016-2019, having served the role of Treasurer.

Bryan has had a few positions with various Industry Members over a 10 year span; before starting his own Company Summit Commercial Contracting in 2024. In addition to his professional experience, Bryan is actively involved with the Rent Foundation; having served on that Board since 2021.

Bryan has seen the growth of the GDAA over the past decade and believes that we need to continue to increase membership engagement to continue to thrive as an organization. 

Tammy Markman began her career in 1999 as a part-time leasing agent, where she quickly discovered her passion for the multifamily industry. Tammy advanced her career while developing deep expertise and a genuine connection to the field. Over the years, she managed properties across Ohio, with an additional chapter of experience in Dallas.  

About a decade ago, Tammy shifted her focus from on-site management to digital advertising, helping properties thrive in the evolving multifamily landscape. Today, she leverages her years of experience at Zillow to showcase properties and support the success of multifamily communities.

Tammy served a term on the GDAA Board of Directors in 2017. During her tenure, she chaired the Membership Committee and actively participated in the Spotlight on Success and Program Committees. Tammy was the Supplier Partner of the Year and Volunteer of the Year during this time.

Denise Harrison is the co-founder and owner of Harrison’s Pro Tree Service, Inc., a Certified Women-Owned Business and trusted tree care company serving the Dayton-Cincinnati region. A dedicated entrepreneur and Certified Arborist, Denise has been a member of the GDAA since 2011. She served a term on the GDAA Board of Directors and remains an active member, regularly participating in events and supporting industry initiatives. She is also a current member of the events committee. 

In addition to her involvement with GDAA, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and the Community Associations Institute (CAI) – showcasing her commitment to community engagement and professional development. Known for her energy, leadership, and passion for education, Denise is driven to help property managers and multifamily housing professionals better understand the importance of safe, proper tree care.

Through her company, she leads a team that delivers expert services including pruning, removals, honeysuckle control, stump grinding, and detailed property assessments—specializing in multifamily, HOA, and commercial properties.

With her deep roots in the local community, proven board experience, and passion for supporting member engagement, Denise brings a fresh perspective and strong dedication to the GDAA.
