In this catch-all intro to the multifamily industry you'll learn about operations and how that looks on several different career paths. Discuss the key aspects of the industry including sales, customer service, marketing, fair housing, and other legal issues.

Come to understand how service affects sales including the proper way to show a rental unit and the community grounds, make something move-in ready, and the basics of preventive maintenance & service requests. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the structure of the rental housing business
  • Obtain core knowledge of sales, service, marketing, and legal
  • Conclude the importance of knowing, promoting, and pricing your product

Instructor: Windy Stone 

Windy comes from retail management and sales background with 24 years of sales and customer service experience.

She started her career in property management as a Leasing Agent in 2004. She has held many positions in the multifamily industry including leasing agent, assistant property manager, property manager & regional manager.

In January 2020 I started a new position as a Junior Portfolio Manager of over 2000 single-family homes in the Dayton area with Vinebrook Homes.

Her favorite part of having a career in property management is being able to help people find places to call HOME and she enjoys interacting and helping people on a daily basis. Training, developing, and mentoring other property management professionals is her passion.

Windy has two wonderfully rotten sons and is a huge football fan. Go Bucks!  She volunteers as the Sponsorship Coordinator, for the Miamisburg Wee Vikes and Cheer Association.  She enjoys theatre, art, music, and traveling.
