Join as a primary Member

Membership with GDAA gives you access to a wide variety of services and benefits designed to help you and your company gain the scope of knowledge and expertise essential to your success. Here are just a few reasons this is one investment you cannot afford to miss out on!

3-for-1 Membership

When you become a member of the Greater Dayton Apartment Association (GDAA) you get three memberships in one: the GDAA, The Ohio Apartment Association (OAA), and the National Apartment Association (NAA). GDAA is the local affiliate of the National Apartment Association (NAA), representing more than 10 million apartment homes globally. By joining GDAA, you automatically become a member of the National Apartment Association and the Ohio Apartment Association and we pay your dues for you. In addition, all members can take advantage of Group Workers’ Compensation Program, and NAA's health insurance.

Networking Opportunities

GDAA has Signature Events that provide networking with industry professionals and create valuable new business alliances. These annual events are a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals within the industry, share ideas, and create relationships. The events are open to all member employees and require you to register on our website on the event page before attending.

Career Center

Members have access to our Career Center at discounted member prices. Committees

One of the best ways to get involved with GDAA is through committee participation. You will get to know the people who are already deeply involved with the association! Committee volunteer opportunities provide GDAA members with invaluable networking channels, a chance to kindle and develop meaningful relationships with peers, and gain insight into the greater Dayton market.

Legislative Advocacy

Make sure your voice is heard.  GDAA assures your voice is heard, advocating for the multifamily housing industry at the local, state, and national levels.

GDAA Rent Foundation

Dues structure

A Primary Member pays for all units owned and/or managed within the geographic jurisdiction held by the Association through the National Apartment Association charter. GDAA counties include Allen, Auglaize, Clark, Darke, Greene, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble,  and Shelby.

All GDAA memberships follow the calendar year (January 1st -December 31st). All memberships expire on December 31st, regardless of when you join, and we prorate dues on the 2nd consecutive year of membership.*  If you join anytime between February - November you will pay the full 12-month dues price upon membership approval and will pay the prorated dues on January 1st of the following year.

*GDAA is on a January - December billing cycle. All memberships expire on December 31st, regardless of when you join. You will be invoiced upfront for a full year and prorated during the second year (based on the date that you join). The second-year invoice will be due on January 31 of the following year (regardless of when you join). Come renewal in January, your invoice will be prorated for the amount of time you were a member in your first year of membership. Please call our office for further explanation.

Primary Members joining or renewing dues while under construction shall pay dues on the total number of units approved by their county building department (certificate of occupancy) upon application or renewal of membership to the Association.
